DYNEXAN MUNDGEL®. Composition: 1 g of gel contains: Active ingredient: Lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate 20 mg; other ingredients: Benzalkonium chloride, fennel oil, glycerol, guar galactomannan, mint oil, liquid paraffin, peppermint oil, saccharin sodium, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, star anise oil, thymol, white petrolatum, purified water. Application: For the temporary, symptomatic treatment of pain in the oral mucosa, gums and lips. Contraindications: Absolute: Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of Dynexan Mundgel or to other local anaesthetics of the acid amide type. Relative: Patients with severe disorders of cardiac excitation and conduction, acute decompensated heart failure or severe kidney or liver disease. Undesirable effects: Very rare (< 0.01%, including isolated cases): local allergic and non-allergic reactions (e.g., burning, swelling, redness, itching, urticaria, contact dermatitis, exanthema, pain), altered taste, numbness, anaphylactic reactions and shock reactions with accompanying symptoms. DYNEXIDIN® FORTE. Composition: 100 g contains: Active ingredient: Chlorhexidine bis(D-gluconate) 0.2 g; other ingredients: Glycerol, macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate (Ph. Eur.), mint oil, peppermint oil, purified water. Contains macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate and menthol. Indications: temporary reduction of bacteria in the oral cavity; supportive treatment alongside mechanical cleaning in cases of bacterial inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa; use after surgical procedures on the periodontal ligament. In case of limited ability to perform oral hygiene measures. Contraindications: Do not use if you are hypersensitive to chlorhexidine or any of the other ingredients; if you have poorly perfused tissue in the oral cavity; on the eardrum, the eye or the periocular area; if you have open wounds or ulcers in the oral cavity (ulcerations); or in infants and toddlers under 2 years of age (due to age-related lack of control of the swallowing reflex and the risk of laryngospasm). Undesirable effects: rare: temporary impairment of taste, temporary numbness of the tongue and temporary discolouration of the tongue, teeth and restorations. With unknown frequency: Hypersensitivity reactions to components of the medicinal product; temporary, superficial, non-bleeding peeling of the oral mucosa; anaphylactic reactions (up to and including anaphylactic shock). DEQUONAL®. Composition: 10 g solution contains: Active substances: 1.5 mg dequalinium chloride, 3.5 mg benzalkonium chloride. Other ingredients: Fennel oil, ethanol 96%, glycerol, levomenthol, macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate (Ph. Eur.), mint oil, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium hydroxide, peppermint oil, star anise oil, purified water. Indications: for the supportive, short-term treatment of inflammation of the oral mucosa. For short-term use in cases of bad breath (including that caused by bacterial growth). Contraindications: known hypersensitivity to dequalinium chloride, benzalkonium chloride or any of the other ingredients; infants and toddlers under 2 years of age (risk of laryngospasm due to levomenthol); patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases associated with marked airway hypersensitivity (inhalation of DEQUONAL® may cause shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack due to the levomenthol content); do not apply to wounds. Undesirable effects: rare: hypersensitivity, discolouration of the tongue, teeth or dentures. Very rare: local allergic and non-allergic reactions (e.g., swelling, hives, mucosal irritation, itching, occasionally also with shortness of breath), taste disturbances. With unknown frequency: anaphylactic reactions (with accompanying symptoms), sensitisation (development of hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the other ingredients), laryngospasm in infants and children up to 2 years of age resulting in severe respiratory distress due to levomenthol, swelling of the pharyngeal mucosa, inflammation of the oral mucosa, delayed wound healing when applied to wounds. RECESSAN®. Composition: 1 g of ointment contains: Active ingredient: Lauromacrogol 400 (polidocanol) 30 mg; other ingredients: Aluminium (RS) lactate, fennel oil, sodium alginate, high-viscosity paraffin, saccharin sodium, Dalmatian sage oil, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, star anise oil, thymol, titanium dioxide, white petrolatum. Indications: for the temporary, symptomatic treatment of painful inflammatory conditions of the gums and oral mucosa. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to lauromacrogol 400 (polidocanol) or any of the other ingredients. Undesirable effects: very rare: Immune system disorders: allergic hypersensitivity reactions (anaphylactic reactions), angioedema (also known as Quincke's oedema; characterised by sudden swelling, especially of the face, such as the eyelids, lips, or larynx), hypersensitivity. Nervous system disorders: Taste disturbance, burning sensation. DYNEXAMINFLUORID GELÉE. Composition: 1 g of dental gel contains the following active ingredients: 30.36 mg olaflur, 2.74 mg dectaflur and 22.10 mg sodium fluoride (total fluoride content 1.25%). The other ingredients are: methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (Ph. Eur.), hyetellose, perfume oil (Dentalmed), saccharin, Ponceau 4R (colourant E124), purified water. Contains methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate. Application: for the prevention of caries (tooth decay), especially in children, adolescents and patients with braces, other orthodontic appliances or partial dentures; to support the treatment of initial caries (beginning tooth decay); and to treat hypersensitive tooth necks. Contraindications: hypersensitivity to olaflur, dectaflur, sodium fluoride, or methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (Ph. Eur.), Ponceau 4R (colour E124), menthol, peppermint oil, spearmint oil (components of the Dentalmed perfume oil), or any of the other ingredients; pathological desquamation of the oral mucosal epithelium (pathological desquamative changes); individuals in whom control of the swallowing reflex cannot be guaranteed. At-home use: Children under the age of 6. In dental practice/group prophylaxis: Children under 3 years of age due to the content of menthol, peppermint oil and spearmint oil; bone and/or dental fluorosis. Undesirable effects: Gastrointestinal disorders (very rare): desquamative changes (scaling) of the oral mucosa. Gingivitis, stomatitis, redness of the oral mucosa, burning in the mouth, oral pruritus, oral hypoesthesia, taste disturbance, dry mouth, swelling in the mouth, oral oedema. Erosion of the oral mucosa (oral ulceration, oral mucosal blisters). Nausea and vomiting. Diseases of the immune system (very rare): hypersensitivity. Possible hypersensitivity reactions to excipients: methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (Ph. Eur.) may cause hypersensitivity reactions, including delayed reactions. Ponceau 4R (dye E 124) may cause allergic reactions. In appropriately sensitised patients, menthol, peppermint oil and spearmint oil may trigger hypersensitivity reactions, including shortness of breath.
